My money is on Chris Paul. He has all the hallmarks of a great coach. He's an undersized guy who accomplished more than his physical stature would suggest he was capable of accomplishing through solid fundamentals and high basketball IQ. He's also a nototiously good communicator on the court. He's made every team he has joined better. He doesn't commit a lot of turnovers, which coach's love to harp on. And he seems to relish teaching new guys and seems to have universal respect amongst players. He's also annoying as hell, which also seems to be a key trait for good coaches. He's one of the few players I think could make the leap from playing directly to head coach without missing a beat.
Who are your current players who you think could end up being Hall of Fame coaches one day?
If you only watch highlights, Wemby looks pretty killer. If you watch the actual games though, well, you'll have mixed feelings at best.
He's got talent for sure. But he's way too quick to shott 3's when he should be living in the he paint right now.
