I wish I could take criticism like some of these guys. I could get the most constructive, sensible criticism in the world and it feels like I'm getting attacked with a knife

tbh I agree it's a penalty. but they should always be called, not just sometimes. hope it doesn't kill the game, it's been good so far.

There are also some United staff members who believe Sancho could have been handled differently. He responds to warmer management and they feel private cajoling and encouragement may have kept him onside, although they accept they are not the ones in Ten Hag’s position.

I might eat my words but I think we'll look back on this and the consensus will be that ETH failed to man-manage Sancho by being too strict. Not everyone can conform to the same requirements, I believe that's where top-tier managers really earn their money. Sancho is unquestionably talented and I don't think ETH is the kind of manager that can properly unlock that potential. Might be the case with all or most of his managers.

Allegedly he was having mental health issues. It's always odd to me that people say this kind of thing, but when a player speaks out about the abuse they get and how they are treated by the public everyone jumps on the bandwagon and shows sympathy. Unmotivated maybe, but maybe he has some shit going on that makes it difficult to do his job. If I expressed that I had a mental health issue and my boss started telling people I was lazy or whatever (if he said that) ain't no way I'm apologizing about that.

I guess now it's time for people to dogpile until he comes out saying he lost a cousin or something and everyone will say people were too hard.
