I think to an extent it is disrespectful to run up the score, let’s say when you’re up 20 or more with like less than 4 minutes left, or to showboat in garbage time. However in the long term these things help to ignite rivalries and manufacture narratives and drama for the fans to enjoy so I think it’s good when it happens every now and again.
