Should rest Jokic instead of forcing him to carry to save Denver the embarrassment

Fuck it lose by 60

[–] 3rdEyeDeuteranopia@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The Nuggets did start to comeback a couple times but I was still surprised they had Jokic fight until the end when he has to be worn out after the last few games.

The in season tournament isn't just wins/losses, it also takes into account points scored

[–] 3rdEyeDeuteranopia@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Yes, but the Nuggets needed to win this game to stay in contention anyway. Point differential doesn't matter to them anymore in a loss.

That is why I was surprised they were fighting until the end.

Does Fred kinda cook when he faces the nuggets? He was damn good in the two raptors games against them at the end of last season. Great against em both time this season.

[–] Evening_Name_9140@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

He's been cooking all season. He's good with Green and fucking amazing with Sengun.

They do the pick n roll so well

[–] theboykauai@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Jalen Green's nickname from this point on is the Dunkstronaut.

[–] bkuuretsu@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Manifest it

[–] AnusPopper@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

This is the year. Alperen Sengun had improved so much under this new coaching. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for Most Improved Player.

[–] andresigora@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I dont think he’s a dark horse at all. It will probably stay between him and Maxey. Maxey has the edge right now, but we’ll see how the narrative changes over the season. The IST can change this scenario as well.

Denver Nuggets are In-Season Tournament chumps.

[–] redpanda5890@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

For all the clowning that the rockets got for signing fvv and brooks, they actually look pretty legit

[–] coolbeans512@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I feel like I was happier about those signings than a lot of other people I’ve seen and even still they’ve way exceeded my expectations

Here are Jokic's stat lines in the 6 Nuggets losses this year

Jokic in tonight's loss: 38/19/8 (-12) 11 free throw attempts

Jokic in the loss to the Magic: 30/13/12 (+4) 5 free throw attempts

Jokic in the loss to the Cavaliers: 18/10/7 (-16) 5 free throw attempts

Jokic in the loss to the Pelicans: 26/16/18 (+5) 5 free throw attempts

Jokic in the loss to the Rockets: 36/21/11 (+12) 8 free throw attempts

Jokic in the loss to the Timberwolves: 25/10/3 (-19) 2 free throw attempts

He is now averaging 28.8/14.8/9.8 per game in their 6 losses

The Nuggets are trash

[–] CunningAndRunning@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Where’s all the people who shit talk and discredit Jamal Murray at? Nuggets are like 0-4 without him. But his stats are only because he plays with Jokic right? Fucking casuals.

[–] Tomato-Business@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

They're 4-5 without him, but he's the difference between a 1st/2nd round exit and the championship, as we've seen in the past and on this road trip.

[–] Tyler123839@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

You love to see it

[–] cuhman1cuhman2@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Wonder if they'll give coty to Udoka. He def deserves it, but I could see them not giving it to him cause of his sexual relations. (Other coaches are also deserving)

[–] _felagund@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Sengun with 43 minutes? Udoka really trusting in his skills.

[–] Ninneveh@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Silas would have limited him to 20 min and benched him for the entire 4th.

[–] sorendiz@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

No joke they matched him minute for minute with Jokic for the first 3 quarters

[–] stopwhining27@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago
[–] Enelight@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Dude wtf Jokic scored almost half the team's points by himself

[–] Ultra_Instinct33@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

What’s crazy is that if you go on Bleacher Report, the top story is “Jokic Torches Rockets for 38” (on 34 shots mind you). Lol they’ve beaten the Nuggets twice now and THAT is the headline.

[–] blakeibooTTV@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Reggie Jackson and Aaron Gordon as starters going 1-20 is not ideal.

[–] WadeCountyClutch@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Hey, there is the Reggie Jackson that we know and love

[–] OKSteve63@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Lmao, Silas should be put in basketball jail

[–] DarkPalkion@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

When is Sengun up for free agency and when can my team get him

[–] Conscious_Orchid_939@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Excluding the first blowout loss to the Magic, the Rockets are, check notes, #1 in NET RATING. In the five losses, they lost by an avg margin of mere 4.3 points. In the eight wins since they won by an avg of 14+ points.
