It's Scotty Marsh

He's a Sydney legend for his work

Absolute twaddle.

Most of us in the civilised world pity Americans

We understand that there are systemic problems that individuals can't be held responsible for, unless they have chosen to be a part of the problem

It's the obnoxious ones who expect the we give a fuck that they're yanks that have a hard time, regardless of their politics

The ones who travel wearing Trump hats or otherwise forcing their idiotic politics into things reap what they sow

I seldom lock my doors, and even if I lock the front door, the back door is always open for my dog to go in and out as he pleases

I never worry about being hit, and firearm crime here is vanishingly rare

Nowhere is perfect. My nearest pub isn't the sort of place if ever go because the regulars are morons, but I live somewhere peaceful and serene

In a crisis, I know that I'm infinitely more capable and useful than someone who shuffles paper and pretends that they add value to society

I am a tradesman

I also have a bachelor of science degree

What I do is most definitely skilled labour

The bullshit, classist crap about what is and is not skilled labour is pathetic

I can promise that when the chips are down, the most useless people are the ones who sneer at those of us with calloused hands

Since when has reality or evidence ever factored into the thinking of a conspiracy theorist (unless it conveniently aligns with their idiocy?)

For-profit healthcare is beyond disgusting

Slavery never went away in the US. It was rebranded, encompassing all but the ruling classes, with people's health tied to their employment

All so some people who were already rich could get richer, and the cost to the American public is a fucking disgrace

Long live Luigi!

Can you blame them?

The US is a fucking hellscape

I spend quite a bit of time there. I'm over several times a year and I genuinely don't know how people can live like that

There's a constant thin thread of fear, wrapped around everything, running through everything

People are afraid of the people around them. They're afraid of their government, they're afraid of the people who are supposed to be there to protect them, they're afraid of their employers, they're afraid of the unknown

I'm very careful not to take my charmed life for granted

They'll vote for the next republican, and the one after that, because they're in a cult, and those republicans promises to hurt the people that the cult fear and hate

It's disgusting, but it's in their nature

They knew exactly what they were voting for.

They voted for a hateful, stupid, vicious, narcissistic, bigoted thug

I don't believe for a second that they genuinely have any regrets, and I believe that they'd vote for him again if they can (assuming that 'Murica ever has another election...)

If it's worth watching, I'll watch it on my telly

It's hardly an "effort"

Baden Powell was a fucking paedo
