Yeah, it ought to be owned by the people who contributed the work that trained it. But that's socialism. ... No really, that would literally be socialism.

God damned right. Every "new" thing tends to be stolen. In more event history, its stolen from other capital, or from innovation with a free license, rather than artwork. Publishers might actually be able to make a problem out of this.

He's a crypto tankie like he genuinely supports bonkers evil regimes and has anti-democratic beliefs but hides it in his main channel videos.

Capitalists actually keep the developing world from fully developing. On purpose. And NGO Aid has been proven to stagnage rather than assist countries that are constantly receiving it, such as Haiti. Yeah I would consider that failure, too. But they certainly wouldn't. And perhaps, with that many eyes in you, it might actually be harder to get things done that go against the interests of other rich and powerful people.

The US has less representation per capita than most developed nations.

I don't really understand how we fix gerrymandering. Districts can sue the state for making their elections more competitive, less competitive, or a perceived slight. Every time maps are drawn, 99.9% of districts become less competitive, offering a safer win for both of the two major parties where they expect to win. Strategically voting for third parties that can put Ranked Choice in place is... Possible, but incremental.

So yeah it seems like ending the electoral college is less complicated. It seems very popular with most people and half the politicians.

Oh shit they just stuff the mags with rubber? Lmao.

I like hearing from actual gun owners and users on laws like this. Sometimes there is an ignorant perception that these laws will work in a certain way.

Did you read that carefully? The comment says the US should not allow the lawful trafficking of American registered guns into Mexico. I don't think the second amendment protects Mexican cartels, tbh.

[–] Franzia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 year ago

It isn't. Right now it's very difficult to tell the difference between a law abiding gun owner and a criminal gun owner. In the 'defense' scenario, they are literally pitted against one another.

The puritanical culture we have is the ruin of everything. We wouldn't be overly thoughtful about consent this and that if not for awful people getting away with sex crimes left and right, even in current day. Guess what? If you're not a rapist, don't hold yourself to the same stringent standard - do the fucking CPR and save a life.

Never support Second Thought. If you wanna learn about monetary theory and marxism go watch Unlearning Economics.

Oh this is so unfair. We have had an expansion of labor rights this year, after the rail strike was blocked. Also the rail strike did have some wins despote being blocked.
