I think a big question is, what framerate do you want? 30/60/144? Do you also want to run at the highest quality settings?
For reference, I have a 3080 and can 1440 most games at 144hz, settings maxed out. A few new games from this year need some settings turned down, but you mention last gen games, so this shouldn't be an issue.

I am all for using every law and policy available to stop fascists. Overturning a seemingly fair election outcome, where the president elect was voted in by electorate AND popular vote is NOT one of those ways.
