Yea, using the phrase back talk makes them seem like a parent talking to a child. Whether I agree with what they said or not that phrase being applied the way they did it got my hackles raised.

LLMs operate off of weighted values. When a query is made, it checks those weights to determine what's the most likely response. It doesn't understand anything, its just based on what is most likely to be said next. Hell, I think it was chatgpt that had code get leaked or something and its literally just a series of if else statements.
