6’2 C vs a 7’4 G, modern nba in a nutshell

I think we’re more or less what our record says we are, maybe even a bit worse. This is an extremely flawed roster with a couple true superstars and we’ve escaped with narrow wins over some bad teams (and one blowout win over the giants). With the McDaniels firing the team has been playing really hard for Antonio Pierce but at the end of the day, this is still likely a below .500 team. And yet we could have easily beaten the Steelers and Chargers to be at 7 wins.
It’s tough to say because yes, the numbers were the best of his career, and 73 wins is absolutely insane. But so much of that was abusing the shit out of slow big men on switches, which you don’t get as many opportunities anymore. Lot more single coverage back then as well. Since the 2019 finals when KD was hurt, the league completely changed how they guarded him.
It’s also important to look at the way he has been guarded since 2016, especially after KD left. In 2016, he was doing stuff the league had no idea how to guard. Since then, the league has evolved quite a bit, especially defensively. And yet, he’s still at worst a top 5 player in the league. What he did in the 2021 regular season and 2022 playoffs isnt too far off from his 2016 regular season, despite everyone trying to shape their squad to stop teams like the Warriors.
NYC, LA, and Vegas (maybe Miami) are the only cities that get major entertainment attractions year round and have the demand for it. Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix are all close but they aren’t entertainment hubs like those first 3
We’re trying, Jennifer!
In 2012 when he really broke out, I thought Steph Curry’s shooting was a flash in the pan and some of the shots he was hitting was just luck. Like there was no way someone was THAT good of a shooter while taking and making shots with such insane degree of difficulty.
Like I had seen him do this since his Davidson days and still didn’t believe it. Turns out he was actually the GOAT shooter by a long shot and he wasnt just lucky for 15 years in a row. Very glad to have been wrong with that take
Steph is 35 and still diving for loose balls in the 4th quarter of a preseason game while carrying the team
The reality is when you’re a hall of famer who has been a key part of a dynasty, you’re always going to be viewed higher than a 23 year old 6th man
Not at all. I hope JP turns into that type of player. As long as we have Steph mfing Curry on our team he was never going to be “that guy” on the Warriors
Has this guy ever seen a raiders game?
