What editing software are you using? The better ones have the possibility to brighten the dark parts without changing the lights. Raw converters usually have softproof for printing, too.

Whitewall (Germany) ships in a neutral package for resellers; directly to your customers. They offer ICC profiles for all of their prints. I haven't tried them yet, but they are said to have a good reputation.
I'm not clondon.
Some offer sample sheets of their paper and significantly reduced test prints.
