I mean, I provided a second edit to clarify before this comment but if you want to ignore that, sure. I wrote the edits at around 3am which is why it read badly and I did the second one as soon as I realised the implication.

That makes far more sense, and there is definitely egg on my face, I was very confused. My apologies for my initial comments tone, it really wasn't necessary.

Thanks for clarifying in such a respectful manner, it wasn't really deserves after my initial comment. Have a wonderful day.

Has China ever expressed interest in joining NATO? Was there ever actually a declinature?

New Zealand also isn't part of NATO, does that mean NATO are imperialists AND flightless bird haters?

Or is this another way I'm blinded by western media and China has been begging to get into NATO and they're just not reporting it in my sheeple network?

Edit: lol not a Chinese flag, I am blind and phone screen is small. My bad. Replace China with USSR then I guess?

Edit2: my first edit makes it seem like I meant that this comment still makes sense with USSR in place of China. That's not what mean, so to clarify, Im an idiot and this whole comment can be ignored ❤️

Win 11 has Talon, which just rips out most of the Microsoft specific bs anyway.

Note: I don't know enough about the script to say for sure that it is safe. And even if I did, I'm a stranger on the internet so you should do your own research before using ❤️

This is why real scientists use the only reasonable real world measurement - a perfectly spherical cow in a vacuum.

I think they meant low value as in low number, said in a positive way (16gb being a lower number than expected rather than a comment on the quality of it) at least that's how I read it

Nooooo, you don't get it. The poor artists are smug meanies so we are allowed to steal from them. If the poor artist just accepted the massive low ball offer than everyone would be happy and we'd have world peace probably.

Who's cheating in Skate? That is such a wild thought that people would cheat in the "zone out and skate around in circles" game

Draiman is a self-described “very strong supporter of Israel” and last June, he posted images of himself online signing an IDF bomb and appeared to write “Fuck Hamas” on it.

Jesus Christ. It's so exhausting to continually hear of absolute depravity from people who I used to think were so cool (albeit for this loser, it was when I was like 14).

Even to your point about boots, there are some people who are vegan (by their definition) and wear leather boots. Arguments can be made that leather will (in specific circumstances) result in less animal harm in the long run, and while I don't personally justify leather this way, I can understand how some have these perspectives.

The real issue is labels. As soon as you apply one, you are subject to everyone else's understanding of that thing. In my experience, if you don't meet their understanding of said thing you're dismissed as not being a "true x", or it's "if you truly are X then why do you do y?"

This is why I never refer to myself as vegan/vegetarian and just "I don't eat meat" (or a more specific statement as needed).

I never say I'm a leftist/socialist I just gestures vaguely at American politics believe that's kinda fucked and shouldn't be done that way.

I even dislike saying I'm an urbanist because, even though I despise car-centric design, I've been called out for the sin of hiring a car when I visited my hometown last (generally I cycle everywhere or use PT, but I had an ankle injury so woe is me I guess)

At some level we're all hypocrites, ones intentions are far more important, and shouldn't be dismissed as easily as they are. What's more important is to align your actions with your beliefs, be open about what you believe in, be open-minded when someone's beliefs don't align with your own, be ready to adjust your beliefs based on new information and experiences but most of all:

Be kind.

Hey android pals, not sure if this is the right place to ask but my Google Fu is failing me, I'm currently in a single party consent country but will be moving to a two party consent region soon, is there an app that works like an ivr that will screen calls and advise people they're being recorded (and ideally terminate the call if they do not consent)?

I often search by local all but there are so many posts from Lemmy.nsfw. Nothing against the community but I do a lot of scrolling at work so that's not ideal.

Is there a way to block that instance without blocking all NSFW posts? (Need to keep my shit posts lol)

I've slowly been blocking individual instances but if I can block the whole domain that would be ideal (this might be obvious but I can't figure it out)

E: thanks for the advice everyone, guess I'll keep knocking em out when they pop up.
