They can't really make the argument that you won't have the formula to reference in the future when you need it...
He has a cult of personality. They (the GOP) don't seem to like him either based on how many of them denounced him at various points over the past 8 years, but they know he's their best chance of winning, so they made him the candidate. They don't care who the candidate is, as long as it's one of their people.
They're banking on the assumption that they won't have to once Trump wins the election.
Yeah, I mean, I'm not disagreeing with you, but the mentality that "Eh, they supported a shitty system, now they're suffering the consequences" is implying that everyone affected supported the shitty system, which they definitely didn't.
That'd be valid if the leaders who invited them in were the only ones suffering, but it's regular citizens, including people who've been vehemently against bitcoin mining operations, who are getting fucked.
The fact that this post has a downvote is legitimately worrying to me. I really hope that's not someone who disagrees with this statement.
We saw this recently with Ruth Bater Ginsberg, too, unfortunately - she could have chosen to step down when Obama was president and secured a democrat nominee in the SCOTUS for 50+ years, but she didn't, and now look where we are.

This whole thing seems so weird. Why is Meta using the courts to enforce their ToS, anyway? Theoretically, the penalty for a user violating Meta's terms would be Meta closing that user's account. Unless the lawsuits are just frivolous scare tactics intended to drain the defendant's resources...
