Sometimes I think they are just bad throws. Like this past game against the Bills he had Chase open for a TD but it was underthrown. He did hurt his finger right before so maybe that was the reason, but in years past if he ever has a bad throw it is usually a deep one.

They are one of my favorite broadcasters.
I think the lack of practice is a big reason. You basically can't really practice much anymore so the games are the only time you get reps. So timing and other things are just off early in the year. Granted that usually fixes itself earlier than week 8 but I still think it has an effect.
I love Trevor Lawrence now
He looks like the still image of a madden player/coach
Crap OL and ridiculous DL = rushed QBs with no time to scan the field. It's why we see so many screens and quick dump offs. Defenses have adjusted to this for the most part, so you get a ton of 1-2 yard completions this year it seems.
