The lady doth protest too much, methinks. Every single time anyone posts something vaguely critical of these emotional support vehicles, we always get someone with a bruised ego in here trying to fight the entire community over it. Which is hilarious because it kinda just proves the whole point. If it’s not about image then why are people so sensitive about it?

There really isn’t any other explanation for why these monster trucks have become so popular than vanity. Larger trucks with higher, smaller beds have become the norm, and they’re actually less useful for the things you might need a pickup for. And there’s similarly no reason to think that Americans have suddenly discovered a huge need for pickups that didn’t exist 50 years ago. Yet their prevalence on the road has increased dramatically.

It’s just another fashion accessory. But unlike the fedora, it’s a deadly one, and so of course we will criticize you. Don’t like it? Easy solution: stop choosing fashion accessories that kill people. There are plenty of other ways to cosplay wealth or rugged individualism.

Did you point out that the sky is blue?

Thanks for posting all this! Some of the scans you posted are showing things are malicious. I'm not too tech savvy, can you elaborate on this tool? Does that mean these files are dangerous to run?

Most plants that are hardy enough to survive winter will do well with a fall planting. So most perennials for sure. Brassicas are another great cool weather crop. Lots of options, just not summer things like tomatoes, squash, etc.

Not sure if this will be a good year for this topic but I hope so. Seems like there might be a sort of “law and order” sentiment among the voters this year. I’m a little worried about it, honestly.

It’s obvious that you aren’t taking this problem seriously. We need to detonate our entire nuclear arsenal and melt the entire continent of North America into radioactive slag. It’s the only way to ensure there’s absolutely no incentive to come here.

Thank you, this is a much better overview of the facts of the case. The sentence feels a bit harsh but I guess it was a conspiracy to break the law.

I’m confused about what law was actually broken here.

Tomato, tomato.

Most people hate or are ambivalent to trees. It’s pretty shocking. If you ask them, they’ll say they love trees but offer to plant one on their property or in their park and you’ll soon see why there aren’t more trees in cities. The primary reason is many people kill them or fight against planting them in the first place.

You’re not wrong but it’s still a distinct crowd from the Rittenhouse type people. Usually the enlightened centrists are very concerned about violence but I guess the courts gave them a shield to suddenly be comfortable with killing in this instance. Maybe I was naive to take their stated opinions at face value.

Not really. Criticism of her positions, including on Gaza, is valid. But the VP has almost no power. And there’s really nothing to be done about grocery prices at this point. Falling prices are generally considered to be very damaging to the economy and would likely cause worse problems. And there’s not really any mechanism by which the executive branch could achieve this anyway.

Inflation is now 2.5%. That’s pretty normal. So there really isn’t any food price issue to solve at this point. The real question is: how will her policies affect wages? And what’s the plan to address the housing crisis which in my view is the real problem that is hurting people right now.
