I get this feeling this will generally be the peak of generative AI. Used for assistance when needed and with lots of oversight. The problem is that not all people bother to check the AI's work.
Part of that RCV bill is also aimed at outlawing the current Approval Voting primaries they use in St. Louis. There's been interest in switching the entire state to approval, and Ben Baker just can't have that happen.
It's still ridiculous that capital is taxed at a lower rate than labor.
If it's one person, yes. If it's an entire crowd of people open carrying rifles, not so much.
At least you'll get to shoot back
Yeah I agree, arguably the proportional representation part is more important, but it's easier to start small and then repurpose your organization for bigger goals. I push for approval because:
-
practically anything is way better than FPTP
-
It requires zero voter education to implement
-
it can easily be adapted to any kind of winner system
-
A whole bunch of other stuff that gets into graphs and voting criterion and shit like that
That's your reward for being good! You get to rape your dad and have his kid!
While it's to true that we too often talk about groups of people like they're individuals, it's also true that very few people actually bother to have underlying principles for their opinions, much less stick to those principles when they get in the way of a short-term goal.
We need to get ourselves some Approval Voting and some kind of proportional representation (linked is one way you can use approval in a proportional election)!
The fucking DREAM.
