Hello fellow watch nerds and enthusiasts! I just picked up my first Hamilton, and am positively chuffed. I never really understood the allure of Hamilton, as I for whatever reason thought these were cheaply made or wouldn’t be worth it. Well after coming to a point where I wanted a field watch, I figured I would give Hamilton a try since they are the go to field watch brand. So I began my search, I have plenty of black dial watches so the Murph was out for me. I also wanted a mechanical version so it wouldn’t take up a slot on my winder. Anyway I found this absolutely stunning automatic silver sunburst dial on the secondary market for $300. I couldn’t resist and damn I’m glad I didn’t. I love the look and feel of it on my wrist. What are some of your experiences with Hamilton?

I won the above watch earlier today with a bid of $3,400, or about $3,700 after fees and other junk. How’d I do on this deal? Although I feel like I did good and am genuinely excited I won, I can’t help but to feel maybe a little buyers remorse. It did come with the leatherette box which I’m not keen on since the wood boxes as so much nicer. Idk, let me know what you all think. Thanks!

I noticed a lot of posts recently about size insecurity lol. I’m rocking my vintage 34mm mechanical Longines today, and wanted to post a picture on my 7.5” wrist. I don’t wear this watch often, but I always think it wears very nice when I do. Your own opinion matters more than anyone else’s :)
