To be extra convincing, park a white pickup truck with flashing lights nearby. That also gives you somewhere to throw all the spikes instead of just piling them up on the ground.

Remember, when you see anti-homeless architecture, you are morally obliged to come back later with a hammer to correct it.

I wonder why my friends make excuses so often when I ask to hang out...

If you're going to stick to the rules in the future I wouldn't worry about it; the main reason ban evasion isn't allowed is to keep out repeat offenders. (And you have no obligation to tell anyone that you were banned on a different account).

Lee said he doesn’t know a single student at the school who isn’t using AI to cheat.

How far do you have to be into the AI shit bubble to think everyone is cheating with AI? Some people are always going to cheat, but that's been true since long before AI tools existed. Most people have some level of integrity and desire to actually learn from the classes they're paying thousands to attend.

3 million? What a weak encryption scheme, proper encryption should take 10^20 years at a minimum.

I think there are better things to do with $500k than throw it all away for a useless domain name, like distribute it to the people who maintain fediverse software and host instances.

My best guess is they somehow mixed up minutes and seconds? Usually people mix up bits and bytes the other way and overestimate speeds.

I copy photos and videos off my phone all the time; it's far more convenient than trying to send it over the internet. But even the "slow" speed of 480Mbps that they're complaining about seems more than adequate; copying a few gigs of photos will only take a minute or two, and even copying my phone's entire 128GB of storage would only take 35 minutes. Compared to most USB storage devices that's blazingly fast.
