IMO, Bey is basically utterly irrelevant to the state of the Pistons.

I think that knowing how things look at this point, other than if they got Wembanyama, the Pistons might have taken Ausar with even the #2 pick anyway.

Is it perhaps somewhat narcissist? Sure. But apparently the profits are going straight to Akron. Of course many on this thread may not know this, which is kind of important - if he opened this museum for his own profit, that's something. But if it's basically just a fundraiser for his hometown that uses his name and fame, I have no problem with that at all. Maybe he needs better PR.

And the truth is... ok, sure, maybe he's a narcissist to some extent or another. But there's never really been any meaningful scandal around LeBron.

I would imagine, for instance, a lot of the people criticizing him on this thread love Kobe, who basically is a rapist. I'd much rather have a narcissist that helps his hometown with his narcissism than a rapist.

All of the profits go back to the community, apparently. He's not naive about his sort of gravitational orbit, and if that helps Akron it seems like a good thing to me, even if some people consider it arrogant.
