I just checked where I live and the base s24 is about $55 cheaper than the base iPhone 15.
When you’re spending that much money on a phone, it’s not a huge difference. Of course Samsung will have sales and Apple will not. At least in the country where I live.
I guess the bigger point is that even if my apps work now, they are so important to my business that if they stopped working then I immediately would not be able to do my work until I got a new phone.
I rely on specific chat apps so heavily to communicate with clients.
Oh yeah! I’m dumb! I totally get it. Anytime I buy tech I make sure it’s usb-c if it’s not, then I’m not buying it.
The only non-usbc device left is my wife’s iPhone 13 and a Bluetooth speaker we hardly use.
Have you ever used one of those 9-in-1 usb-c hubs? They blow my mind, how can so much io be handled by that one connection?

When it comes to my work, privacy has to come second, so I’m just sticking with the main operating systems.
Now I need to find a 144hz monitor. I’m not gaming outside of my steamdeck and don’t do online, so I don’t care about that. But I’m always working with text.
I’m hoping this ultimately makes Apple open their operating system and leads to Apple letting users dock their phones and let it launch traditional macOS
