This team just completely fucking implodes late
It was a pretty poorly kept secret that if the Magic came into the season healthy, there wouldn’t be any immediate playing time for the rookies.
Suggs is a demon, Sharpe is phenomenal.
Mosley needs to figure out what he’s doing with these rotations. No Fultz all 4th and no Carter until 1:30 left makes no sense.
Nah, I once checked in for 6 seconds to end the first half… hit a 3. Didn’t play again. That’s 960 points per 32 minute HS game.
We’ve trailed once at half, and it was by 2 or 3. Every game with the exception of two so far follows the same script: get out to a nice lead at the half, then completely forget how to play basketball in the 2nd. Just a matter of whether or not they fully complete the collapse or hang on.
Spacing is just non-existent, especially with Gary having been out. Teams pack the paint on Paolo and Franz and allow anyone to shoot.
All that said, it’s honestly a pretty ideal start to the season — the team’s issues are glaring and will necessitate a fix sometime in the not-too-distant future, and yet they’re above .500.
