Not a fan of google pay, but I gotta say, I lost way more wallets than phones in my life it's about a 3 to 0 ratio (not counting purses I have lost before owning a phone.

Culprit is: I need the phones app as second factor to log in to the web interface.

X, Google, Amazon, you can pay for their services and still be the product. I am not sure if that rule is good in any direction anymore.

That is true, as it is true for payed services too. It isn't in any way impossible that user data of paying customers is sold. You either trust them, or you don't.

Not even an audit is helping when evil people are evil.
