A wedding for 400$ - thatcs not the kind of client you would want. The 400$ is why they bailed on you, that just screams to me "I don't value your time, your skill, my cousin can do it for free"

I live in Europe. OP used the $ sign, it's okay to assume they are in country where wedding photography prices are similar and even in India, lavish weddings are held.
