If you properly understand something you should be able to explain it precisely to a lay person using straightforward language. Depending on the level of detail, it may take awhile, but nothing need be lost. Jargon is a useful shorthand to accelerate communication between experts, all to often employed to buttress the position of the insecure or gatekeepers

Thank you both for the recommendations

You can’t do that anymore alas (except with the clan Nova) - you’re limited by the number of weapon mounts and heat management is now easier…

Play with keyboard and mouse - makes hitting things much easier. Redesign all mechs to have max armour. For most of the campaign bringing as many SRMs to the field as possible is good. Focus fire with your lance mates - makes them much more effective. Remove JJ - useless. LBX10s are great. Remove useless single LRM 5s and 10s from most things - put a lot of lrms on mechs with good quirks - Archer, Longbow. Keep moving, ideally always at least 45 degrees to your target

Mechwarrior 5 Mercs - stomping around the inner sphere with a 1000 to 1 kill ratio

Also square pins make better contact than round ones

Maybe (like everywhere?) but that’s not the point I was trying to make. There is a stereotype that autism and generally being neurodivergent is somehow compensated for by academic talent - it’s not fair to make this assumption

It’s a joke - and academic achievement doesn’t correlate with mental health - that’s a stereotype we would benefit from losing

They also don’t want to be photographed and end up with their tits all over social media. Places where this used to be routine (European beaches and so on) there is a lot less of this than 30 years ago. Another thing mobiles phones and social media have made worse

Obviously true? In real life I’ve found it’s often worth doing a bit of thinking / effort to find a third option though. Not always possible though - like when voting - though I don’t think picking the least worst (imho) option when it comes to political representation is immoral
