Hi,

Please see here for pictures referenced below: https://imgur.com/a/Kzt2Rla.

I've been having trouble taking pictures of reflective jewelry, specifically rings with a chrome color band.

For other jewelry, I usually use a light box that's surrounded almost completely with a white background, and that works fairly well. But with rings with a chrome color band, because of their bands' reflective nature, the color of the band significantly changes to a much lighter color (not because of the camera...the color actually looks different in person). See imgur #1-3.

See imgur #4-6 for the look I'm trying to get (not my pictures).

I tried removing the white background and instead using the default fabric that's in one of the light boxes (imgur #7), and that seemed to help, but still isn't how I want it. See imgur #8-10 for these results (with some editing).

I thought maybe imgur #4-6 were photoshopped to look that way, but I took a picture that did get the chrome color, but it's obviously not a good picture, especially because of all the reflections (imgur #11). I think I just took it at my desk, without any special lighting.

So...

Is this possible? Is there anything I can do with lighting to get this look?

Thank you!

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can easily shape a bracelet to a perfectly round shape to take a picture/video of it?

I don't want to manually rearrange it with my fingers.

Something like an extremely small bowl if that exists. Even a hockey puck might be too big, though I haven't tried.

Thanks!
