My co-worker damaged a piece of one of my tools on Wednesday. I was trying to fix it and I almost started to cry. Had to take a break. It's a five dollar thing. It wasn't about the tool.
They're saying that the insurance they have will not cover any of the cost of the other brand, so they have to pay full price. Many medicines are absurdly expensive here because the drug maker makes their money from insurance companies, not so much the people buying it. It's absurd, stupid, and backwards.

That's the entire point. There is no solution. Absolutely nothing to do but arm yourself and watch out for people who deserve to make it through.
I wouldn't say the best. There are a lot of people who love to vote R and especially for Trump because they think that fucking up other people's lives will make their life better. Some, like my father-in-law, are irredeemable assholes that love irredeemable assholes.
It's a good point and we do have trigger locks. I don't want to ever have to hurt someone but especially after yesterday I'm not taking any chances.
I'm feeling the same mostly. I don't make as much money as you, but I'm ok because I don't have kids and I'm in a low COL area. Which means I travel much of the time and leave my wife undefended. She is open to getting a pistol and learning. I'm getting a rifle. We can't leave because her mom is elderly and will not leave. Hell we've just got her convinced to move 20 miles to live with us.
Once her mom lives out her life we will have options. We can see how bad it plays out. I want to move to Uruguay or Costa Rica badly.
