I mean you can see why

That's an absolute fucking howler

That's what I was gonna say.

How has Messi been influential to the game when nobody can replicate the way he plays? Influential players are ones who start doing something new that everybody starts copying.

If most forwards strolled around the pitch like Messi for 80 of the 90 minutes they'd contribute absolutely nothing to the game. Messi hasn't influenced anyone to change the way they play because it wouldn't work if they did.

He's done very little to influence the actual game of football though, because the way he plays is not replicable.

Nobody has changed how they play the game because of Messi.

I think this should be viewed at the end of the season.

Because every time I've watched either Everton or Chelsea they've looked much better than they did last season, and typically performances come before results.

But if you were to ask me the two most improved clubs in terms of performance this season I would say Chelsea and Everton, closely followed by us.

Up and to the right is ideal? That means you conceded less xG and created more xG.

So Everton are the most improved side in the league? Makes sense given their performances.

So up and to the left is ideal?

Always find it a bit funny that this guy is called Randal.

Always reminds me of that kid from Recess.

[–] No-Shoe5382@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

That's such an obvious penalty

They've used Everton to make an example because they're scared to do it to City or Chelsea.

Can't piss off the big 6 or they'll start their own league.

Surely the most obvious and high profile example of this is Maradona's hand of God? Dunno how they've managed to leave that out

Konate is already very very good and has all the same physical gifts as Van Dijk, he just needs to mature a bit as a defender with things like anticipation and proactive defending.

Guys still only 24 though which is very young for a CB, all that will come with time.

France are gonna have Konate and Saliba at the back for the next decade (not to mention all the other very high quality CBs they have on top of that).
