Not all my watches need to have lume sure but, in my case, I wear the same daily wearer 90% of the time and a different watch (more dressy usually) the rest of the time. And for this daily watch, the watch I'm going to be wearing most of the time, lume is definitely an important factor (to me).

Yeah! People will say that a watch is nothing more than men's jewelry these days because it does nothing that another tool doesn't do 100x times better, and I think that's true 99% of the time, but lume is only of the very exceptions. Lume genuinely gives you a functionality that you can't really get anywhere else, the ability to check the time in the dark without the need to turn on a light.

Oooh now that's a hot take!

I completely disagree because, to me, the ability to check the time in the middle of the night without having to blast my face with the light of my smartphone is one of the very few areas where a watch is genuinely superior in terms of functionality.
