Clearly, Fairfax County Police are doing something the other counties/states should be taking notes on.

Because that's what we need on PC; more launchers, more DRM.

I'm pretty happy on Arch atm. The only things I'd need to change would be the window manager (Sway) or maybe the file manager. I switched from Nemo to Ranger and it's been so good.

My current plan is to integrate dust (the file size viewer thing) with ranger so I can see how much storage files are using in the directory I'm viewing. I need to find out where I can edit Ranger's functionality to accommodate this. I might have to resort to cloning the repo.

I enjoy Arch's DIY approach. I can tailor my system to how I want and if I'm not happy with a certain part I can change it.

I'd like to cancel my Amazon subscription but unfortunately, my entire family is using it to buy stuff off Amazon.

Yeah but they're already spending so much on hardware just to edge the Deck on performance alone. They're ignoring all the other stuff that makes the Deck great which is decent performance but fantastic flexibility.

My Wireless keyboard is a Keychron. It doesn't have a dedicated adapter, it'll connect to any device with Bluetooth capabilities. From what I've seen of how it works, is that it can store up to 3 device signatures to automatically connect to (you can choose which of the three is active). What I assume it's storing is the MAC address which I thought is unique to the device.

I've read that you can use a Blue-Ray drive. The RPCS3 website has a proper guide on it though I haven't tried it. I jailbroke my PS3 (not fully because it's one of the 320GB models) and use that with FileZilla to dump games over the internet onto my PC.

I've been ripping PS3 games for a little while now. I've recently bought some Dynasty Warriors Gundam games from Japan which I'm dumping at the moment.

Armoured Core has especially been in a thorn in my side. I've got 4 and 5 but still trying to acquire For Answer and Verdict Day. They're extremely hard to come across. I haven't looked at the PS2 games but I'm sure I could find those for cheap. Super easy to rip with a standard Disk Drive.

I spent a while during lockdown taking video calls from my bed. It doesn't matter where you are. The whole point of a laptop is to be able to work anywhere.

My office is a 4 by 4m corner of my bedroom. I'm lucky in that I can devote that much space to it. But it's all about having a place you can dedicate to being your workspace. If that's on a couch, then let it be on the couch. At the end of the day, if you're fulfilling the tasks outlined in your job description then there's really nothing to complain about.

When the pandemic started, my sisters and I would work from the dinner table. Then gradually we all drifted into different rooms, buying desks to work on. Pretty soon we had our own offices in our house. These people don't know or care to find out what normal people are like, they make decisions based on their own assumptions and that's why their employees hate them.

Treat them like humans, take the time to ask them what they think. Have some goddamn empathy for fuck's sake.
