That's already not the case. Not only do you not need to replace the battery (the range is just slightly reduced over time), the degredation is a lot slower than that.

To be fair, he meant 20 degrees from where it was during testing, not from stock or competitors. Even in this hypothetical it would match other options at best despite a higher price. But the problem is that we can't know this because they didn't test it properly

100%, it should be illegal anywhere to not show the final price on the menu. If they write $5 on the wall, you should be able to pay with only a $5 bill.

Looking at electric cars, we now have access to some incredible mobile battery technology, so it would definitely be possible, and easily too. Only issue is cost, but it's only a matter of time until all or most food trucks will be full electric.
