Wemby should've gotten the ball more, especially during the last few minutes. There were several times throughout the game where he was either wide open or had a favorable mismatch... and his teammates chose to take a contested shot instead.

The biggest culprit of this was Keldon Johnson, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see more of this behavior as the season goes on. I've watched several Spurs events throughout the summer/ pre-season and Keldon always looks annoyed when Spurs fans show their love & excitement for Wemby.

I get it, you're Keldon Johnson. You've got an Olympic gold medal. You led the team in scoring last year, and are used to being the number one option. You are a talented young player who wants to keep making a name for himself in this league.

But guess what? He needs to GET OVER IT AND LEAVE HIS EGO AT THE DOOR.

There's a reason the Spurs only won 22 games last season, and it's the same reason why fans were Spurs fans were excited to draft Wemby: the team desperately needed SUPERSTAR talent!

... and Keldon Johnson, despite being a talented young player, is NOT a superstar talent.

Wemby is far from a perfect player - and perhaps he never will be - but when he had the ball he put the Spurs in a position to win the game. Keldon Johnson and the rest of that young team need to set aside their egos and do what's best for the team, not their personal box scores.

When you have a player shooting 80% from the floor in the 4th quarter, you keep giving that player the ball.

What if Kobe never tore his achilles?

How far would the Lakers have gone in 2013? What does the rest of his career look like?
