Uh, time to re-read! Thanks.

I thought the playbook said it should be called "Ministry of Love"

I'm gonna throw in this for you: have you considered a VR headset like Quest? I watch YouTube pretty much exclusively on mine. If you like to watch stuff in bed, you won't mess your neck, too.

The "fixed" board is still noisy, but the volume goes quiet very quickly if no sound is being reproduced. You still hear crackling but at least it falls off instead of always persisting.

I am no engineer, but I suspect the audio is not shielded enough. Perhaps oled uses more current than led? I noticed the noise corresponds to the amount of motion on the screen.

Many oled models have serious audio issues. Speakers and bt audio work fine, but the 3.5 mm jack is noisy. If this happens, you open a ticket right away, send it back and they will replace sound board for you. I got mine done. It's better, but not perfect.

I think this is not then being pessimistic. It's one of the first cases of a corporation being realistic, rather than pushing the propaganda of success till it shuts down.

Focus.

Say I'm working on Photoshop. I may need to use the palettes, tool presets, brush catalogue, alerts, etc, but then I may want to ignore them and focus purely on the image.

3D - I can put references on secondary screen and peek at them every now and then, but not have them distract me while modeling and texturing.

I can put tools like calculator, notepad and timer - all accessible, but all out of the way.

I find multiple monitors better. The physical separation helps in creating mental separation, allowing me to focus on the currently important areas and ignore the periphery.

Started working on double monitor setup still in the 90s (two big ass crts) and never went back. I tried some ultrawides, but always default to 2x instead.

Reality TV is a style of presentation, not a type of content. Many of these shows and contests are as scripted as normal dramas, comedies and procedurals - only filmed in a style reminiscent of a documentary.

Just like US won on air travel, health insurance and all other wonderfully deregulated industries.

Some of the reviews of this game mention a major story line...

story spoilerin which Kiryu becomes the main protagonist of the game and goes down a nostalgia-driven memory lane adventure, revisiting old spots, etc. Considering this is supposedly pretty central theme for much of the game,

would you say it makes sense to play Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth not having completed all the mainline Yakuza games?

For context - Yakuza: Like a Dragon was my first game in the series. Like many, I've fallen in love with the madness, the cheese, the comedy and the world of the series and started playing the Kiryu saga of Yakuza 0 - 6. I am currently on number 3, and wondering if it makes more sense to soldier on, play through all originals before picking the latest entry, or to just jump in and enjoy the new title.

In other words: How much do you recon would Infinite Wealth spoil the original series, or how much would not playing original series spoil my enjoyment of Infinite?

Really curious about people's thoughts.

It's been a while since I last seen anyone posting graphs showing user base growth. Are we past the initial rush and bleeding numbers now?

Activision Blizzard is not a good company. They have an abysmal track record for how they treat their employees, history of misogyny and abuse. Since the departure of Blizzard's founding members, the quality of many of their games took a noise dive.

They got one thing very right though, and that's account-level, platform independent save system in Diablo 4.

Being able to seamlessly switch between my PC, PS5 and Steam Deck is probably the coolest thing I experienced in gaming in a very long time. While it would be awesome not to have to buy the titles individually on each platform, it's a huge step in the right direction.

I can only wish more games supported cross-platform saves, because now that I'm used to it, I can really feel the absence of this feature in other titles.

(It would also help a lot with games preservation, if you could easily use old save files on newer platforms and remasters - as long as it's not all server-bound)
