Which brings up an important point- that Bill never got Mac a serious veteran backup

It was really dumb going into the season with Bailey Zappe as the backup to a struggling young QB.

Where is the veteran leadership and mentorship in that QB room? Not that Andy Dalton would have turned Mac and Zappe into franchise QBs, but young players need mentorship sometimes. They need guys that can help them both on and off the field.

I dont even want to imagine what tape study sessions are like with 2 young, struggling, frustrated QBs that cant help each other and are facing the end of their NFL careers together.

Never take seriously people who blame all of Mac's woes on this Oline

In this game, 90% of the time he has had pressure he has had at least 1 good matchup or easy outlet to get rid of the ball to.

On the last sack, he had Rhamondre coming uncovered in the same direction the pressure was coming from, but he just didnt anticipate it.

He just does not see it. His pre-snap reads are easily among the worst in the league and its one of their core problems

Ye and you cant have it with anything less than a GOAT-tier coach tbh

Sean Payton had Drew Brees and never achieved these things. Mike McCarthy had Aaron Rodgers and never achieved these things. Shula had Marino and never achieved these things.

I dont care how GOATed TB12 is, he isnt 6 times better than Brees or Rodgers or Marino.

Winning 6 Super Bowls means you had a ton of help because this isnt tennis. And a lot of it came from Bill.

Yea, pretty obvious at this point that they base all their transfers on agents, media hype, and manager requests.

Simple as. Guys like Antony, Matic, Mihki are clear manager buys. Sancho, Pogba, etc. were media hype transfers.

Very few look like a part of a well-scouted, coherent, long-term plan.

Its a lot like what was happening at Arsenal during the dark days of Raul Sanllehi tbh, except this has been going on for 10+ years at ManU.

Utter nonsense

Arsenal have better players than both ESR and Gordon on the wings rn, thats why they might sell him (and they clearly arent desperate to do it if they want 50M anyway).

Just because Arsenal has better players and need to find a way to cash in on ESR before his deal expires doesnt mean he doesnt have more potential than other teams' players.

Man, this thread is severely underestimating ESR

His development has stalled but he has bags of talent.

With game time and trust, there is a good chance he develops into something really special. People need to rewatch some of his 2021-2022 games (when he was still 21). He has more potential than Gordon, Willock, and Barnes, 100% certain of that. He can just do more.

Obviously cant be sure that he ever gets back on track, but the potential is worth a sizable investment IMO
