I shouldn't have to say this but if the initial report of the KPJ incident is accurate he of course is the scum of the universe but the point is people seem to want Giddey to be "innocent" while the want KPJ to be guilty. Wonder why that is?

That is a ridiculous idea. It's in the same vein as someone telling a story and it ends with "and everyone applauded as they told off the mean person".
"Casusal" fans are well aware of Donaghy. It was a huge story when it happened. There are books on it. There was Netflix documentary released last year.
