Well that’s certainly one way to tell us you know fuck all about basketball history

Sorry, please try that again in intelligible language, I don’t know what “conivent” is.

“They’re racist!”

“They’re an uncivilized country!”

Not even an inkling of the irony here? Really?

Was Messi racist? Is he culpable for the actions of his countrymen?

???? Portugal have been an international side since 1921, and have placed in the top three at the 1966 WC, 1984 euros, 2000 euros, and got second in 2004. They aren’t Germany or Brazil, but it’s not like they’re Iceland. They’ve long been respectable.

What? Do you know what extrapolation means? And what does “production on the basketball court is not linear” mean? Just that people score at different rates at different times in the game? Because umm yeah, that’s why we use averages over a larger sample, like per 36.

Per 36 stats are fine, and do a good job of telling you what a player’s impact looks like per minute they are on the floor. Just like per 100 possessions stats are good for telling you who averages the most points, rebounds, etc. each time up the floor. Nobody is saying they’re a be all end all stat, but they have their place.
