So how did these leaks come about? Well, according to the insider, there are various mentions of Half-Life in the files of other Valve games, including Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and Deadlock. For example, a mention of HLX is included in Deadlock’s bug-reporter config files, which is similar to how Counter-Strike 2 was included in Dota 2’s bug-reporter files three years prior to its official unveiling. Likewise, Deadlock also includes references to the iconic HEV suit, gravity gun, and Xen creatures, the first of which has been renamed to the Burbank suit in the game’s files.

Uh huh. So this article is just a pile of bullshit.

So what? Movies like Pearl Harbor are also compared to other worldwide hits even though only the US (and probably Japan) have deep feelings about it.

Cyberpunk and Elden Ring were also hits in China, so I'm not sure this is relevant when comparing worldwide sales.

Every single experience you mentioned I cannot relate to at all. It's really weird to read.

Well, hardly any consumer actively buys Windows since it comes pre-installed on most PCs.

I swear it's always Adblock Plus in memes about ad-blocking. Who makes these memes?

Every country has their 10% crazies. You don't need their votes to govern. Please focus on the 90% with good policy instead of normalizing idiot conspiracy theories.

If you're afraid of triple letter agencies you probably shouldn't engage in social media at all.

The privacy concerns are about coercion from the user base. The bar to spin up a private instance to get to the voting data is far too high for 99% of the users.

If it's effort, virtually nobody does it. Convenience is king since the beginning of the internet.
