Me and my wife... Got really bored. The gameplay loop is supppperr trivial, and even though they add in stuff every now and again, eh...

I dunno, it's okay - but I just don't get the hype. I wanted to pitch in because if someone is considering buying it I'd really recommend checking a Let's Play of it before trying it.

It felt like a game specifically designed for a gamer to introduce gaming to their never-gamed-before partner. If you're both experienced gamers like we are, I wonder whether you'd give up on it too.

Was disappointing to see so much pussyfooting and backpedalling on stuff like this from Labour over the past 18 months.

I'll be over the damned moon if they put some strong climate positive policies in the manifesto.

Is it too much to hope for electoral reform too?

That seems like a big reaching conclusion based on very little data.

Friendship goes both ways and requires equal effort from both parties to make it work. Being rigid and unadapatable is a great way to whittle away your friends unnecessarily.

I get that it's not necessarily simple, however... Firstly, surely streaming companies could push for a standard formatting to make their lives easier. And second, why does a track that was previously explicit suddenly start playing as the clean version one day? Why is the data for it continually being changed?

Oh my God, thank you for the confirmation.

But I don't understand - it's inconsistent. Some stuff will be censored and others won't be?

I swear to god, more and more I keep having 'clean' versions play on Spotify, YouTube Music, Deezer - despite the song being marked as 'Explicit'.

And no, I definitely do not have the setting checked for only playing clean versions.

It's not just me - is it?

Sorry, you're quite right - I misread it to begin with.

This paper suggests you're spot on that they're not as profitable as other large companies, but they're still making an awful lot of money on top of the necessary costs.

Except as highlighted, if the drug didn't make a return on investment it wouldn't be made. That can be true for government funded research, it's not necessary to have a profit margin on top.

There will no doubt be more than you think - if there isn't a neuro divergent society at your uni, you could start one?

At the very least there's loads of neurodivergent communities on lemmy to get involved with.

!autism@lemmy.world for starts

Also worth checking out communities for ADHD and neurodivergence generally - there's a lot of overlap to find stuff within.

Your explanation is surface level correct, in that it is in essence society's justification, but ultimately they're run like prisons because it's initially cheaper to treat all mental health patients the same and because there might be one individual that is a danger to themselves (and even less likely, others) then we get the 'prison-style'.

The trouble of course comes in that in the long term this model likely costs far far more, because it's incredibly damaging as human brains don't fit in boxes.

I love this game - I’ve played every single playtest and I can’t wait for the full release.

My takeaway is that it's only original Rogue fans that care about the delineation of the terms. Is there a modern (i.e. post 2000s game) that matches the definition of a roguelike as given in the article?

What a fucking disappointment. I've not watched the final episode and I'm not going to, as apparently Netflix only understands something sucks if people don't finish watching it.

Season 1 was fantastic. Season 2 was... tolerable. The writing for Season 3? I've never been so bored, disengaged, or had suspense so masterfully deflated.
