Apps are the most comfortable way to access online services. Most people will ignore it, if it was present. So in the end there is no change if it is shows to a few power users that use the browser because or all users, because who is going to donate are going to be the power users mostly.
Its definitely something that can be added by the side of the instances, not in general in the main Lemmy branch.
I've never done this, but I want to drop my cents still. Maybe there are some settings in the client or in an instance left assuming something is working in a default environment?
I get your concern! With AI tech getting better, there could be more fake profiles run by chatbots like ChatGPT. But platforms are fighting back with verification processes and content moderation. It's not all bots out there, so stay skeptical but trust they're working on it!

It will work, but Tiny11 lacks a lot of things. Will be useful, but some applications you expect to work will not.
If you are tight on resources, consider keeping Windows 10 or switching to a Linux distribution.
