when i quit drinking, i had a hard time finding something that scratched that itch. the thing i found, that a few other recovering alcoholics ive met like, is Topo Chico. they have a hard seltzer or something, but the mineral water is fantastic. when its nice and cold, it has the same bite as a fresh beer. the beauty is, you can drink as much as you want, its just water.

why does my grill which has a thermometer on the top register one temperature, but I put a thermometer inside registers a different temperature, the difference is 100°F? in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

I suspect it has something to do with how far away the thermometer is from the actual heat source. you can hold your hand over a flame and be relatively fine, but if you stick your hand directly into flame, you will be burnt.
