Yeah, Ethernet connectivity is a common issue in Linux. This is why it's almost never used in servers. It's definitely not something you are doing wrong.

Nothing but a lot of people who don't know what they're doing use them instead of routers or gateways. This gives their devices direct access to the internet which is a major security issue but it also means that they end up using all IP adresses that their ISP will provide. All new devices that try to connect will fail to get a new address. Then they go online and ask why their internet connection is shit.

I always get bad vibes when beginners talk about internet connectivity issues and are using a switch. You do have a router too, right?

Check out Wolf. It uses Sunshine and doesn't require a dummy plug.

I never thought I would be able to like a damn bike bell as much as I like the Knog Oi.

Hey, sorry I didn't reply until now but life has been pretty hectic and I also kinda borked my streaming VM right at the same time as I wrote that. I ran Nobara Linux for a while with KDE on Xorg and it actually worked pretty well. Then I decided I wanted to give Bazzite a try but I didn't like the whole immutable thing. I went back to Nobara just to find that Steam Remote Play straight up didn't work and I couldn't know if I had failed to set up something properly or Valve just broke it while I was "away". A couple of days ago I decided to just abandon Remote Play for the time being and deployed Games on Whales and it seems very promising so far. Much easier than fiddling with VM:s and GPU passthrough and Sunshine/Moonlight has never failed me.

TLDW: Japan has step through bike frames, electric bikes, child seats, hand warmers and phone holders. If they are in any way built different or have any unique features at all, the video fails to mention it.

I was totally in the same boat just a decade ago.

I run a gaming Linux VM on my server and it works fine.

Do you want to run Windows?

Odd jobs, here and there.

Has anyone here successfully installed Sunshine server on Bazzite? I used to run it on my streaming server when I used Nobara but I wanted to give Bazzite a go. Haven't really gotten very far as I can't get Sunshine working properly and Steam Remote Play just shows a static image on the client.
