My best guess would be that there must be some connection between eastern Kentucky staff and the Packers staff/area scouts who tipped them off about Boyle being a great QB room guy. The brought him in for a pre draft visit in 2018 and in the 2018 preseason he wasn't bad at all.
Isn't part of the reason he left Green Bay the uncertainty of how long Rodgers was going to keep on playing there?
That was probably 25% the case, 25% of it was the front office waffling around paying him fair value for like a full year and then 50% playing with Carr.
I don't think Adams cares about long term at this point.
