I clicked an Asus marketing email today, they have some decent looking stuff on sale this week. ($850 for a 2021 model that seems to meet your criteria).

Also Costco has an HP gaming laptop on sale for $1400-->$1200.

My old laptop is getting slower and slower and it doesn't have a discreet GPU, so I'm getting more and more tempted all the time.

Before we dive deeper, it's essential to understand what personal character means.

I mean, the rabid Trump supporters are working from such a different starting point and set of assumptions. It makes perfect sense to go right back to basics: definitions of "lying" and "personal character".

Haha I remember a couple months ago at his first arraignment, Trump's team actually wanted a mugshot for the merch, and photoshopped one up when NY DA didn't oblige.

I really really really wanted Trudeau to follow though with election reform and get rid of first past the post/strategic voting and make other parties viable.

Oof no injuries so far.

People should realize they are killing a bear if they feed it (accidentally or not).

Relocating is pretty much guaranteed to be relocated into someone else's territory and if humans get hurt the bear just gets put down.

I've heard

Lemme guess, from an astrological farmer?

[–] Smatt@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 years ago

Yeah that stood out to me too, I've heard of these other dumb things.

[–] Smatt@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 years ago

Lol well done.

I couldn't believe when that came out and had no effect. Like when George W would just misspeak or Clinton admitted smoking weed in college or whatever, it always seemed like there were huge political consequences.

Quietly letting it drop after the election?

Saying it's still on the table so they can grab more headlines next election?

I hope common sense prevails.

Smith noted her government had signed an agreement with Ottawa worth $24 billion over 10 years to uphold the principles of the Canada Health Act. "That means that you cannot charge to access insured services. If that's what [Marda Loop is] doing, they will be shut down, they will be fined, [or] we will withhold payments to them. So it won't be allowed to happen," Smith said.

Weird. This seems like a normal thing for a normal premier to say. Not what I expected from her when this story broke.
