I am Jack's COMPLETE lack of surprise.

For the sake of those who love the game, I hope it's true. Personally, I doubt it, but who knows...

Ditto. I swapped to linux this summer and landed on Pop!_OS because my laptop has hybrid Nvidia graphics. Pop supports that really well because the company that makes Pop sells laptops with similar hybrid Nvidia graphics.

So far almost every game I've tried on Pop has worked with no issue. Of the games that have had issues, EVERY ONE got working with the help of Proton db. (Note: All Steam games or games with native linux support.)

Anyways, yeah I'm really not the biggest fan of Pop's desktop environment, but it work really well for gaming so I'm leaving well enough alone.

Does the world really need another building/survival "game"? These are getting as stale as Ubisoft open world games.

Not sure if iOS lets you use the "Private DNS" feature, but using an adblocking DNS is the way to go on Android.

https://adguard-dns.io/en/public-dns.html

(Looking at that page, it does have iOS instructions available, so I'm guessing yes.)

Technically, I am still setup to dual boot to Windows. But now that I've been off it for months, I really don't want to go back even for "free" games. It feels like a triumph to be off it and every day I don't go back into it when I can easily dual boot feels like a big middle finger to MS. I've been finding different ways to do that since the 80's when I used DR-DOS instead of MS-DOS. :-D

I'm on Pop_OS. I like Nobara better but on my laptop with hybrid graphics, Pop works better for gaming.

I didn't follow any guides. I looked up individual games that had issues. Mostly I game on my Xbox unless it's a game that plays better with KBM (think Civ and the like) or indy games that aren't on console yet. Neither of those tend to have any major issues with Proton.

I swapped to linux this summer from Win10 and have absolutely no regrets.

Actually, that's not true, I do have one regret: I can no longer take advantage of the PC half of my Gamepass Ultimate subscription. It was nice being able to play games on PC that are just better with KBM (recent example: Steamworld Build would be much better on PC than console).

Beyond that one thing, which I will get over eventually, no regrets. Every game I want to play on my PC works perfectly fine so far. I'm not a linux guy. I don't tweak things. I just turn on my computer and use it for normal computer things and then turn it off. Surfing the net, gaming, word/excel type things, Discord, Steam, etc. Everything normal works easy peasy on linux now.

Most average home users could get their computer preinstalled with linux and never know the difference after a day of figuring out where the new "shut down" button is and such. Hopefully MS keeps driving people away so we can get more people on linux so even more things work easy peasy.

This. It needs to be visually uncomplicated so I can actually see what's living on the desktop. Because of that, I prefer bottom right the most, though I generally like much darker backgrounds. Color shift that into something darker like an alien or night scene, and it'd be perfect for me.

Sure, that’s definitely a feature for customers.

You misunderstand: the advertisers are the customers.

I feel like this post is guerilla marketing for "TempleOS", which I've never heard of before and will absolutely not be looking up after this.
