I'm referring to this video. Is it because they stand out more? Maybe if I were using speakers instead I'd prefer the mixed version? I'm asking because I don't really know much about music in general, so I thought you guys could show your perspectives in that

 

I was messing with my EQ settings, putting +10 and +20 db on some ranges of frequencies to see how it would sound like, but the thing is that my amp (a humble Apple dongle) doesn't have enough power to drive them that loud, so it was likely clipping/distorting the sound. Can this have damage my headphones in any way?
