I don't think they care about any of that anymore.
Sundial
I don't think they care anymore. A lot of these people lost family members to Israel, and then their elected representatives announce that Israel is in the right. Minnesota has a Palestinian who lost 42 family members on a single Israeli aistrike. Then Walz, their governor, goes on national television and says Israel has a right to defend itself. They're just numb to it all.
It's a scorched earth mentality now. Both Democrats and Republicans, are allowing Israel to go full throttle on their genocidal campaign. If American politics is going to screw over Arabs, Arabs are going to screw over American politics.
I think at this point, you could just say they're race supremacists who hate all the non-zionists.
Yes, and I don't care about the opinions of such people any longer. They process the harms being done in the world into a sense of entitlement that everyone should deal with that in the way they do, which is principally by finding a way to rationalise those harms as inevitable.
I don't think Arabs in America care anymore. This past year has made it very evident US politicians don't actually care about human rights or the lives of Arabs all too much. They're just numb to it all.
It won't. The Arabs are too angry. Minnesota literally has a Palestinian who lost 42 family members in a single airstrike by Israel and then their governor goes on a VP debate for election and the only thing he can say about the conflict is that he supports Israel's right for expansion.
Just looked it up and realized you're right. She's just campaigning with her and some people suggested that she may offer Cheney a cabinet position. Still a shitty person to campaign with IMO. I'll correct my comment.
Israel has killed well over a hundred journalists in the war. Strong evidence indicates that Israel deliberately targeted some of the journalists it has killed.
There have been multiple reports of journalists and their families receiving death threats from Israeli officials for their reporting – including from Mohammed Mhawish and Hassan Hamad, both of whom were subsequently attacked. Mhawish survived. Nineteen year-old Hamad’s remains had to be carried away in several boxes and bags.
This is how Israel treats journalists. The fact that Israel detained an American journalist, who are protected by the way, and that this is barely getting attention in America is scary.
I would say there should be no middle ground. This man was POTUS as well as the Republican nominee for President this election cycle. Everything he says is news-worthy. Ignoring that just emboldens him.
Project 2025 was never really about him. It’s just a Republican wish list. It could be Trump, or it could be someone else who gets the next chance to choose from it.
He chose his team. His team made this plan and he endorsed it until he realized just how unpopular it was. Therefore, it's his plan. Harris has come under fire recently for campaigning with Liz Cheney and people are saying she's intentionally surrounding herself with the wrong kind of people, and they're not wrong there IMO. Why can't we say the same about Trump?
I disagree.
Removing these discussions simply normalizes it and allows it to flourish. You can't allow these things to go unchecked or else no one will simply pay attention. How much popularity did Trump lose from "Project 2025"? Imagine if all the people out there didn't talk about it and discuss how truly awful the plan was. What about when he mentioned how he would encourage Israel to level all of Gaza? The controversy surrounding those kinds of statements is the only reason why Arab-Americans are hesitant to not throw in their vote with Harris. You don't tolerate intolerance. That just allows it to grow and take root in your society.
Biden leaving the office right as he's creating a whole new regional war because of that sweet AIPAC money.
He's the biggest recipient of lobbying money by Pro-Israeli groups out of any Senator in history. He's going to create a whole new generational conflict in the Middle East for some extra cash.
They're already being treated like second class citizens. Their entire demographic is being treated like a group that can be written off for the sake of political convenience and lobbying money.
And what are Democrats even doing to stop Israel to make them seem better on this topic?
