Biden has lost no credibility on the world stage, only on your very small stage.

If you want to believe that then that's your choice. Just don't act surprised when other American proxies decide to lobby American politics so heavily in their favor like Israel is currently doing. The past year has shown the world just how susceptible American politicians are to foreign interference, and that includes presidents.

Congress is a representation of the people. So, the people have spoken and you don’t like what they said.

If that were true then US would have had things like universal healthcare a long time ago.

That's what filters are for.

There is no way either side would trust each other after all that's happened. At best, it would be some kind of stalemate and occasional show of aggression like North and South Korea have. But that requires both sides have a fighting force capable of inflicting severe casualties on the other. This conflict is pretty one-sided for Israel.

I guess there’s technically also an option that Isreal could offer to withdraw from and recognize a Palestinian state

They would never. Not only because they know they would always have an internationally recognized enemy country right beside them. They need to use Hamas to help de-legitimize the state of Palestine in the eyes of the international conflict so they can slowly colonize more and more land complete their ethnic cleansing.

If that were true then they would have entered the Israel-Gaza conflict and tried to keep it localized to the region. They haven't because they are trying to stay away from that and not escalate it into some kind of regional war.

That's correct. The amount of users defaulting to that instance was worrying the admins. They wanted more people to move to other servers to help de-centralize the platform and ensure lemmy.world doesn't control the whole fediverse through sheer numbers.

The more Israel has a legitimate Palestinian partner, like a reformed Palestinian Authority, the better chance it can get out of Gaza and not preside over a permanent insurgency there, the more allies will want to help create an international force to fill any vacuum in Southern Lebanon and the more any Israeli military strike against Iran would be understood as making Israel safe to try to make peace with the Palestinians — not safe for an Israeli annexation of the West Bank and Gaza, which is what some of Netanyahu’s far-right partners are seeking.

Is the author implying that legitimizing the Palestinian state would naturally make them more aligned with Israel against Iran?

The fediverse's decentralization is meant to circumvent this possibility. It's all too easy to ignore one or two bad instances if it comes to that. No matter how big they get. It's part of the reason you don't see the lemmy.world instance in the lemmy server browser. It forces people to spread across the instances more instead of lemmy.world taking the direction of the fediverse wherever they see fit due to how many users they have. As long as the admins continue to respect this viewpoint, enshittifcation of the Fediverse will be postponed.

Maybe try advocating for free lunch for white kids only in the future? Makes you seem more reasonable.

The best thing about online games is the opportunity for Mats, and others like him, to be who he truly was. Once you find the right group of people, it doesn't what color your skin is, what's between your legs, what your physical advantages/disadvantages are. All that mattered was your character and your determination. And you aren't limited by your geography even. You can interact with people all over the world and enrich yourself along with enriching themselves by providing a brief glimpse in each others lives. It's actually a beautiful thing how many stories there are like this one there are out there. Games like WoW enabled Mats to be the person who he truly was before he passed. It's a bittersweet moment for the parents. I hope it gives them the closure they need.

Might be a good idea to define what you consider an "extreme liberal". Nowadays, an extreme liberal can often times be used as a label for people advocating for human rights and calling out the bad faith actors while a moderate is someone who says "Hold on, let's hear out why these people are ethnically cleansing a population. Maybe they make good points".
