Wow. I was just taking a break from an ethics assignment whether Copilot is ethical to use while developing code, and then I see this post.

I believe Copilot is mostly ethical to use in development, as a tool. This is just Microsoft trying to force Copilot into a place where it wasn't meant to be and will lead to so much wasted electricity.

It's like taking the MVP in Baseball and forcing him to play Tennis and expecting good results against Tennis pros. Stop shoehorning good AI tools into the wrong places that are better equipped using different tools.

I see absolutely insane numbers on Google docs, 10000+ blocked. My total per year is now over 5 million. A lot more intense than a few years ago, where it took multiple years to reach 3 million.

10k gets you a brand new Yamaha MT-09: A sick-looking naked motorcycle with a 3 cylinder 118hp engine. It's really frickin fast.

I currently use Monoprice BT-600ANC headphones. They're not too expensive and the ANC punches way above its price class, can be used with a wire if you want, have great battery life, and most importantly don't require an app.

I'm being as safe as I can. I'm ATGATT and I started on a beginner bike without much power.

I have an organ donor on my license. But I'm not trying to kill myself, I'm just following my heart.

It seems like fewer people in my generation have motorcycles because 1) we have less money (although you can save by replacing a car with one) than previous generations, and 2) the older generations constantly push the narrative that having a motorcycle is equivalent to having a death wish, which circles back to the point that they shouldn't be spying on us all the time.

I am Gen Z and I'm not fine with that. I chose to go to college far from where I grew up so that I would be independent and free and do stuff on my own accord, like buying a motorcycle.

With how locked down mobile is compared to desktop I think it's a good thing to start with mobile

I think it should be a flat number of years like 20 years, giving the author plenty of time to exclusively control his IP and then afterwards they can still profit because they can still make things from the same IP and sell them to people knowing that they were the founder of the IP.

I feel like the death of the author clause gives a perverse incentive to murder the author so that their IP becomes public domain sooner.

I thought Intel was dropping the K9 branding and skipping desktop chips for 14th Gen...

I think the creators are free to bake in sponsored segments, but I totally agree with the rest of it. YT is treating us like lab rats and pushing tons of unwanted unnecessary stuff on us. I don't really want to reward that behavior with a monthly subscription.

This is a problem with so many monthly subscriptions: Instead of treating the continuously paying customers well to keep them in, they treat them as fat wallets that they can potentially milk more out of.

I've noticed when I browse YT on Firefox with uBlock origin (usually for non-YPP channels or game OST videos I don't really want anyone profiting off of), everything grays out after a second. Currently I can click f to go full screen and remove that, but I don't think this workaround will work for long.
