Honestly it is embarrassing. Fucking over a literal hero because he is gay???

He is saying it now because that "turns" the documentary from "supporters" into a documentary from "critics". That helps sales. And now the news coverage is pulling attention to it again and of course, that is good for the sales/views.

So I disagree about the stopping to make money with him part, he is milking the other side now.

That is the good kind of conditional love; condition is "love yourself and work towards a better tomorrow"

Never donate if you don't have the money. You can put a imaginary bill in an imaginary jar and turn those imaginary bills in real ones once you get better off.

Thanks for caring but care for yourself first.

Why aren't they doing anything?

I wished they won't do shit. But in reality, they actively harm young people in their attempt of buying a home. E.g. I don't know if it is something that exists in the us but in Europe there are plenty of countries with laws to protect old buildings but most of the time these laws are flawed as fuck and result in less affordable housing for people who want to live somewhere and cheaper real estate for big fraudulent dickheads who want to build new rental buildings

It isn't about it being a loan. It is about attention, care and respect. That is why I wrote favor/attention. You won't be friends with someone who doesn't in any way show you that they care/respect you.

Edit: just to be very clear, the gift is an example of you expressing care, in my example. It is not necessarily a gift, it could be helping them move, or anything else that expresses some level of care.

You don't expect me to care for you, so you are probably not upset when I don't hold open the door for you when you are 4 steps behind me. But if your friend would do the same (assuming that they know you are there) you could take it negatively.

I think you are missing the point. I am not saying it wasn't. But if you makes a gift for your friend's birthday, and they don't bother at all to return the favor/attention, would you be upset as you would think it is kinda a dick move?

Taking without giving is always viewed negatively in social settings.

Maybe "taking advantage of" is wrong but then again, it is a dick move anyway.

I think the biggest flaw is the name.

energy would be used by the Linux guys. That energy is probably equal or less than what the turbine produces. That makes it not a perpetual motion machine. It is free energy for the owner though as long as the speakers don't consume too much energy as the Linux guys will come and for free to no cost of the owner
