G-Shocks are arguably the best, most durable digital watches on the market. Nearly indestructible. A watch you can feel ok about throwing on to do work around the house or in the garage, but the fancier models (like the iridescent here) can also dress up with a bit of color and style.

It's one of those watches that a lot of collectors gravitate towards as they "complete" their collection. They're incredibly popular, but it's also well deserved.

Also interested, depending on price point!

My Steeldive 1970, homage to the Rolex Submariner Smurf. Got it for $46.74 CAD during the AliExpress March sale. It's insanely well made for the price.

Thank you /r/ChineseWatches !

Average is tough. I treated myself to a Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic this year for $800 CAD, I have a couple of Seiko 5's ($200-400 CAD), and a ton of homage watches from AliExpress (Pagani Design, Steeldive, Octopus Kraken) that have ranged from $60-300 CAD.

To answer your question: $200 CAD or less. At that price I'm not afraid to wear it for fear of it picking up a few scratches. The truth is 99% of the population doesn't give a fuck about watches or what you're wearing, so you should focus on what you can afford and what brings YOU joy, no one else.
