For context: I'm working on releasing a local magazine.
So there is someone I really want in front of my camera. She has a look that just speaks to me. We went to high school together (10 years ago) and we were cool with each other but not friends. We knew each other's name and we're Facebook friends but that's about it. I heard she is an adult entertainer but I snooped on her Instagram and there isn't anything about that. But her style of dress and attitude (at least what she shows on social media) draws me in. It's confident and very "I don't mess around" if that makes sense. If she is an adult entertainer I would like to do an article on her and the people in that world and then do an editorial style shoot for the magazine with her. Maybe rent some designer clothes. Make it feel really good. Have a good time with it.
And there is a 2nd person. Me and this guy were in high school band together but we didn't communicate AT ALL. But I recently seen that he is a drag queen now. That interest me as well. I would like to photograph him getting ready. Behind the scenes type of stuff. And interview him for the magazine. And also do an editorial style shoot. Some glamour shots (I can never get enough of beautiful glamour). Some shots in his full outfit, some without the wig and makeup, and some softly lit of him in a muscle shirt, black tights and tube socks. Some really intimate black and white shot on my Rollei! IM EXCITED JUST THINKING ABOUT IT!
- I'm scared to ask
- I'm scared to ask because I'm a male. I don't wanna come off as some type of creep or weirdo. I want to come off professional and really interested in them and what they have going on. I am putting in a lot of time into this magazine. I really care about it and I want them to see that I am serious. I have my own cameras, lights and space to shoot
BUT HOW DO I APPROACH SOMEONE WITH THESE CRAZY IDEAS?! How would you?!
These are 2 people I am seriously interested in. They seem so interesting to me. Lol sorry for the long post!
Sound advice. This I will do. Thanks!
