For the vast majority of customers that aren't looking to spend close to a grand for a card that is infinitesimally better than a card for half the price, AMD has plenty to offer.

We let people get so fucking rich that everything they do is newsworthy because it actually impacts a ton of people.

The real problem is that we don't actually need rich people in the first place.

Let's just apply fucking loot box mechanics to everything in our lives.

Pretty much.

The court can just arbitrarily decide that laws like this aren't valid unless they existed in 1790. Apparently that's how democracy works: A council of elders elected by no one and accountable to no one decide what we are allowed to do.

Like with every single thing that humans try to do to help each other, corporations have figured out how to exploit it for themselves.

We feel like tipping helps people because literally handing money to someone SHOULD help them. Except what actually happens is that corporations, with the full support of the government that they own, simply use that social convention to offset the wages that they have to pay their staff.

It's not complicated to say that I don't want my tax dollars to provide weapons to blow up people in their homes.

A distinction without difference since he isn't even asking Congress to pull funding nor is he even calling on anyone to just stop killing people.

Just one more little reminder that American democracy is an illusion and the choice that most of us get is as meaningful as "coke vs Pepsi".

Who are you supposed to vote for if you are against sponsoring genocide?

The Democrats think that supporting genocide will still leave them with enough daylight between them and the actual fascists of the GOP, but it isn't going to make people run to the polls on election night and Americans deserve an actual choice.

Lower Decks is awesome. The only thing I didn't like about Picard is that romulans and vulkans need to wear nametags if they are both going to wear federation uniforms.

These farms produce alfalfa for animal feed, almost exclusively. We just don't need the amount of meat that we currently consume, it's just about the least efficient way to turn water into food. We could just lose these farms entirely and it would just make steak and dairy products a bit more expensive, which they probably should be given the massive environmental impact from producing them.
